Mitch The Actor

Drama or Comedy? Mitch Says “Why Not Both?”

You want to laugh and then cry in the same episode of a show you just finished. This is what makes that combination so effective. Some actors are only comedy actor; others are known for their serious nature. But what if there wasn’t a ‘choose one’ where there were both genres of entertainment?

It is where Mitch the actor comes in! A well-rounded storyteller has both lightness and heaviness in their storytelling. There are so many instances where a performer begins an extremely light comedy sketch and then, almost instantaneously, delivers the emotional punchline to a story. As an actor in the comedic field, delivery, timing/rhythm, and creativity are all important attributes that I possess as an entertainer. Additionally, I enjoy portraying performances of depth that compel individuals to think and feel. Therefore, when someone asks me if I am a drama actor or a comedy actor, my response is simple. Why should I have to decide if I can be both?

Versatility: The Mark of a Complete Actor

In the modern-day industry, directors are seeking talent, but not only that. They are seeking pliability. There are numerous Actors for hire to deliver lines. Fewer is able to shift tone within seconds. That is what defines a performer as valuable.

I, as Mitch the actor, have trained myself to make the transition between genres. One day, I might be a smart best friend. The following day, I may be playing a dramatic part where a person needs quiet but serious force and emotion. This range is not luck. It is a habit, drill and reverence to the trade.

An actual comedy actor knows that it is not all about jokes in comedy. It is about truth. The more the emotion is real, the more powerful the humor becomes. and dramas that have little scenes of warmth are almost human.

The Utility Player: Why Directors Love to Work with Mitch

Directors need actors who can act regardless of the pace of the set. Mitch is the utility, that is, versatile, dependable, and flexible. A utility player fills any gap just as in sports. It moves seamlessly between the supporting roles that are deeply earned, dramatic, and comedic and brings heart, substance, and timing to each. The value of professionalism is the greatest appreciation of directors: I  arrive early, memorize lines, listen, and improve the story. Mitch brings light to the dark story, is serious with the comedy, and Mitch adjusts to what the project really needs to be. This is all that team opinion for mine . Manufacturers hire him to have a calm mind and consistent results. I’m not just like TV Show actors; I’m a person whom directors can count on to go back to again and again.

This is not just praise. This is my way of dealing with all the roles as Mitch, the actor.

My Services: Acting More Than That

You may need Actors for hire, so here is what I suggest to you.

  • First, professionalism. I arrived early. I know my lines. I respect the crew. I make sure that I am ready all the time as sets move at a high pace.
  • Second, versatility. As Mitch the actor, I will be able to act in television, film, commercials, and stage performances. Be it that you want an emotional dad, a handsome protagonist, a villainous supporting role, or a talented Comedy Star, I am all in.
  • Third, collaboration. Acting is teamwork. I listen to directors. I support fellow actors. My performance is not the only thing that I care about; the final result is. There are also many actors to hire, but they are interested in the time they are on screen. I focus on the whole project.

That attitude builds trust. And trust brings about working relationships in the long run.

Drama That Feels Real

Drama is about truth. It is the aspect of letting the audience see something truthful. Mitch, the actor, does not hurry with emotional scenes. I allowed the emotion to develop spontaneously. I listen to silence, to breathing, to such little gestures.

You are not employing me to write lines on a page. You are hiring depth. You are employing a person who does not disrespect the story. This is the reason why the director tends to hire the same Actors again and again, whom he finds to be reliable.

I would be that reliable option.

Conclusion:

You can be reading this because you are working on a project at this time. You may need someone who will make you laugh. You may be in need of a person with emotional inertia. You may need both.

That is why, drama or comedy, I say. Why not both?

I would be happy to play along, as Mitch the actor, and put heart, energy and professionalism into your story. I am one of the numerous Actors available, with a sense of balance, ability and commitment. Being a serious dramatic performer and a passionate Comedy Actor, I combine the two worlds.

We should create something that people will not forget.
